RFlex is a combination of thin client and host server software which allow quick and easy development of mobile Automatic Identification Data Collection (AIDC) solutions. RFlex is unique because it is based on a protocol and not on a specific programming interface. RFlex can be used for almost any host system: UNIX, AS/400, Windows Server, WinNT, The host system simply needs to be capable of communicating via TCP/IP.
The RFlex architecture is very simple, robust, and flexible. The user defined host application sends and receives RFlex Protocol. The RFlex client presents the data if appropriate, configures the unit, collects data as directed by the host, and transmits data back to the host.
